Advancing early childhood development in Abu Dhabi

Strengthening policies to support young children and their families

C-BID partnered with the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) to address key gaps in early childhood development (ECD) research and inform impactful policies for children aged 0-8 and their families.

This research focused on three critical areas: health habits, workforce quality, and father involvement. Using a mixed-methods approach, the project produced a comprehensive dataset, policy recommendations, and academic contributions to enhance nutrition and health policies, workforce training, and parental engagement strategies in Abu Dhabi.

By filling critical knowledge gaps, this partnership has strengthened the ECD framework, ensuring better support systems for young children and their caregivers.
